Badgerman wins big!

Badgerman’s PKU Journey has just scooped a Golden Wizard Book Prize, and it’s a win that feels both joyful and important. This bright, big‑hearted adventure—written by Susan Waplington and illustrated by Andy Case—has been quietly building a community of young readers who see themselves in Badgerman’s world of curiosity, courage, and learning. Now it’s officially award‑winning.

At its core, the book turns a complex subject--PKU—into something warm, accessible, and empowering. Badgerman’s determination, supported by Fox, Frog, and Mole, shows children that difference isn’t a barrier to adventure; it’s part of what makes a hero.
The Golden Wizard judges praised the book’s emotional clarity, vibrant artwork, and its ability to spark conversations in classrooms and at home. For families navigating PKU, it’s a story that says: you’re not alone, and your journey matters.

With this award, Badgerman’s PKU Journey steps into the spotlight as a standout children’s title of the year—one that blends heart, humour, and hope in a way young readers remember.

Talking All Things Snoodles on Plot Twist Radio

This January, I had the joy of joining Steven Joseph on Plot Twist Radio, hosted by the ever‑brilliant Erin, for a deep dive into all things Snoodles. It was such a fun conversation, part creative chat, part behind‑the‑scenes peek, and part joyful chaos (which feels very on‑brand for the Snoodleverse). We talked about what it’s like helping to shape and expand this wonderfully quirky universe, from building its characters to weaving in the humour and heart that readers connect with. I shared some of my favourite moments from the series so far — the scenes that still make me smile, the unexpected ideas that grew into fan favourites, and the joy of watching the Snoodleverse evolve with each new book. We also looked ahead to the future of Snoodles, including the exciting early steps toward pitching a TV series. Imagining how these characters might leap from page to screen was a real highlight of the conversation. Huge thanks to Erin for being such a warm and curious host, and to Steven for always making Snoodle‑talk an adventure. It was a brilliant way to kick off the year and a lovely chance to celebrate the world of Snoodles with listeners.

The Snoodles are on a roll—and their latest achievements are nothing short of stellar. Snoodles in Space: Escape from Zoodletraz has officially earned a place on the long list for the prestigious Chanticleer Awards for Children’s Fiction, marking it as one of the standout titles of the year.
But that’s just the beginning. This intergalactic adventure has now collected six major awards, each recognising its creativity, charm, and out‑of‑this‑world storytelling. The honours include:
  • Mom’s Choice Gold Award
  • Golden Wizard Award
  • Pinnacle Book Achievement Gold Award
  • N.N. Light Book Award
  • Literary Titan Award
  • Outstanding Creator Award
For an independently published children’s book, this constellation of accolades is a remarkable achievement. It’s a testament to the Snoodles’ irresistible blend of humour, heart, and high‑energy space escapades—and to the readers who have embraced their cosmic chaos.
With six awards and a coveted long‑list placement, the Snoodles’ mission is far from over. If anything, their adventure is just beginning.

The Snoodles have officially gone interstellar. Snoodles in Space: Escape from Zoodletraz has just won an Independent Press Award, marking a huge moment for this quirky, cosmic adventure—and the celebration didn’t stop there. The book was also featured on a digital billboard in Times Square, right in the buzzing heart of New York City.

For an independently published children’s book, this is the kind of milestone that feels almost as surreal as a jailbreak on Zoodletraz itself. The Snoodles’ colourful chaos, imaginative world‑building, and joyful sense of mischief have already captured young readers’ hearts. Now they’ve captured the attention of one of the most iconic public spaces on the planet.

Seeing the cover light up Times Square is more than a proud moment—it’s a testament to the power of creativity, persistence, and the independent publishing community. It shows that stories with heart (and a healthy dose of noodle‑shaped mayhem) can travel far beyond their beginnings.

From a daring escape in deep space to a dazzling display in Manhattan, the Snoodles’ journey keeps getting bigger. And something tells me their next adventure is already warming up its engines.
